History

Escott's family once ran a cargo boat up and down the Belsimar Strait; from Drakkengarde to Northeron, and points in between. It was a good life. But then the Shattering of Orodeth happened. Things changed.

He has no memory of the events. Only that he woke up on the shore, tangled in some wooden debris.

Like many children who lost family that day, he was gathered in and taken care of by other survivors of the Shattering. Eventually, those who took him in made their way to Northeron and the Northeron Relief Camps.

When he was 9, he, and a few other children in his relief camp cache, were adopted by Sergeant Karriss Kellson and his wife. His life changed, again. It became a large, noisome and loving family of 14. It was perfect.

He went to school. When he reached 13, Karriss apprenticed him to a different crafter every few years. He was very good at it. He learned many things.

When he was 21, he was asked by his father to travel to the small fishing village of Saltmarsh to aid in rebuilding the city and improving their economy.
