Obsidian dragon

Obsidian dragons are a type of gem dragon. Though highly intelligent, they are also arrogant and quick to anger and enjoy toying with their prey before killing it. They often lair within active volcanoes, though many have made their way to the elemental plane of fire or used their powerful psionic abilities to create their own fiery demiplanes. Eschewing the other gem dragons' preference for conversation, obsidian dragons will quickly assess whether or not they can overpower potential enemies before exhaling a torrent of flame upon them. Those powerful enough to travel between planes also enjoy grabbing their foes and shifting them into the more hostile regions of the plane of fire to burn to death.
