Ogrémoch is a primordial and lord of earth. Long ago, at the end of the Third Age, Ogrémoch was imprisoned within the Plane of Earth.

In 2965, Marlos Urnrayle, High Prophet of the Cult of the Black Earth, opened a portal to the Plane of Earth in the caverns below Belsimar and used the magical war pick Ironfang to summon Ogrémoch into Syra. Soon after his arrival, Ogrémoch clashed with fellow primordial Olhydra, who had also been summoned; the effects of their cataclysmic battle devastated the land above and resulted in the Shattering of Orodeth. Though the conflict ended in a stalemate, Ogrémoch withdrew back to the Plane of Earth to recover his strength and left his avatar behind. Shortly thereafter, Kazak's Follies and the Brightstone Heroes slew Marlos Urnrayle, destroyed the avatar, and closed the portal, imprisoning Ogrémoch once more.
