Omu was the name of the old jungle kingdoms on the southern continent.

At the height of its power, Omu spanned the entire stretch of jungle between the Everflow and Drylin's Run. A powerful and wealthy nation, they used their might to exact tribute from neighboring kingdoms in the form of slaves and valuables. When their neighbors could not or would not pay, Omu's soldiers would march through the jungles and exact payment in blood. Eventually the kingdom of Estorium to the south, whose power lay in their mastery of arcane magic, invaded Omu to put an end to their oppression.

When the Estorians reached Omu's capital city, they found that it had already fallen to slave uprisings and disease. Believing the Omuan city to be cursed by the gods for their hubris, the Estorians slew whatever survivors they found and declared the city to be forbidden. Over the centuries, the city was swallowed by the jungle and its location lost.
