Silver dragons are a type of metallic dragon. They have a large, expansive frill running from the back of their skull down the length of their backs.

Silver dragons lair in high mountain peaks where they can soar through vast, open skies. This frequently brings them into conflict with their most hated enemies, the red dragons, and they are not shy about bringing their icy breath to bear against such foes. Like their brass dragon cousins, they are staunch foes of cruelty and injustice, though they are less concerned with punishing evil than with protecting those who have been grievously wronged. It is not uncommon for silver dragons to live, in disguise, amongst mortal populations; such individuals always live near large, open areas where they can assume their true form when necessary.
