Gold dragons are a type of metallic dragon. They have broad, fan-like wings that run their entire length of their body, and a mass of beard-like tendrils hanging from their snouts.

Gold dragons have little preference for territory, save that their lair is secluded and isolated. They are staunchly opposed to evil of all forms, and it is not unusual for gold dragons to set off on their own personal quests to rid the world of evil with their devastating, fiery breath. They often assume humanoid forms so as to observe mortals for signs of evil, and display a high degree of patience and wisdom when speaking with them.
