Topaz dragons are a type of gem dragon. Though unfriendly and selfish, they are rarely actively malevolent. They are also highly erratic in their behavior, changing their minds on a whim. They prefer to lair on secluded beaches or submerged caves, and enjoy resting on outcroppings where they can feel the waves and sea spray. This preference often brings them into conflict with bronze dragons, whom topaz dragons are not shy about fighting--even, at times, to the death. Though like all gem dragons they typically respond to intruders with conversation first, if the other party proves hostile or boring they will assail them with their breath attack: a strange liquid-like blast that evaporates water and fatally desiccates living creatures.
